What a terrible call to get Mamba out of the game. Texas loses on a terrible call and I'm no Longhorns fan.
What in the world was even talked about in that time out. No one came to the ball on the inbounds play, was there even one discussed?
Shaka has done nothing to figure out two things this season 1.getting plays for Bamba 2.fix the horrible free throw shooting
LOL is all I can say. If you expect anything different from Texas basketball, you haven't been watching long enough. Some of the foul calls on Bamba were questionable, but watching him try to get position down low has been frustrating all year. Nevada's defenders were all about half-a-foot shorter than Bamba and successfully fronted him the entire game. Shades of Yao in the playoffs. Shaka is lucky that he coaches at Texas where the attention will never be as bright as it is at real basketball schools. He's made the tournament twice and each time has featured a huge meltdown.
I feel bad for Roach and Coleman. They were playing so well but literally every time they got the ball in the last 6 minutes of regulation they had two big men standing in their way of the basket. I feel like all they had to do was get the switch they wanted, clear out and attack the basket. Then Bamba and Osetkowski could attack the offensive boards relentlessly.
Ever since Beilein figured out Havoc 5 years ago, Shaka has been worthless. I trust Del Conte to fire him now or after next season. I just feel bad for Matt Coleman for having to play under such a worthless coach and with players like Dylan Osetkowski.
