USA with a DISGRACEFUL performance, all long balls, no crosses into the box against a team of midgets. Just terrible, this is what happens when you keep a ****ty coach like Klinnsman. DD
Looks like Klinsmann has lost the team. IMO, a switch needs to be made before they're completely out of it.
They certainly seemed out of sorts from the get go and slyggish/slow late. Long ball after long ball, very frustrating. Him calling out the players ("go ask them") can't engender goodwill with the squad.
He has them all playing out of position, and it looks disjointed, that 2nd goal on a GK was terrible. Either they play with passion or they sit - and what happened to Julian Green did he fall off a truck or something? DD
I agree, all this talk of pairing Beckerman with Bradley in the midfield to help support the back four and he starts with Mix who got caught on the first goal off the corner. Then you have Cameron start at RB instead of CB and play Yedlin out of position too... very confusing. They need some Columbus magic on Wednesday to go get 3 points.
i am not wcq savvy, if the usmnt loses, there is no chance to qualify for the world cup? or if the usmnt somehow wins copa america will that qualify them?
My understanding is that the only way to qualify for the World Cup is through your confederation, meaning they have to finish top 2 in their current group to advance to the CONCACAF finals, the Hexagonal, along with the other 4 teams that finished in the top of their respective groups. From there, the top three teams in the round robing 'Hex' will qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the fourth-placed team will advance to an inter-confederation play-offs. Still a long way to go, but 3 points on Wednesday would do a lot of good for the USMNT.
Not to pick on you but this is why Klinsy still has a job. The casuals far outnumber the die hards which makes the US NT Coaching position by far the highest profile NT job with the least amount of pressure. There is almost none. It's really unprecedented in sports. This is correct, why do you sound so unsure? USA will get 6 from their next 2 and qualify.
