Pulisic drunk off his own kool-aid

    That was painful to watch.

I just mean these two matches he didn't play well at all. Maybe he was giving into the hype. Maybe he was feeling himself too much and wasn't focused.

CP needs to get back to Germany where nobody cares how good he is.

He was literally the only player that did anything the whole game. He wasn't great, but he had no help at all until Wood came in.

I had a grainy Spanish-speaking feed. You're probably right. I thought Morris was doing well... that might have been Pulisic.

Ah, that makes more sense now why you say ya'll when talking about USA soccer. Thx. Congrats for staying on top of the group last night. Looking forward to watching Mexico in el Copa Mundial!

I feel like the USA and Mexico have flipped positions from the last qualifying campaign - we may need their help to get in...

It's a little tighter this time around. There are three teams fighting for two spots. (Obviously the three is far more desirable than the four.) The US would seem to have the easiest path on paper, Panama in Orlando and T&T in Port of Spain. Although Panama beat Honduras in San Pedro Sula and drew with Costa Rica in San Jose, they are typically not the best road team in the world. If I'm looking at this correctly, a Panama win in Orlando guarantees them at least fourth, so the match should be awfully intense.

Panama's second game is at home against Costa Rica. You'd think that having qualified the ticos would bring their JV team but the US obviously did that last time and we all know what happened. So Panama has a tough road.

Honduras does, too. They play in San Jose and then at home in SPS against Mexico. Yes, both of Honduras' opponents have qualified, and neither is likely to be playing at full strength, but each is deep enough to play well even when their starts aren't around.

You've already gotten it with Mexico's 3-0 over Honduras and 1-0 over Panama. To be honest, you need Costa Rica's help more than Mexico. If the Ticos drop points against Honduras and Panama, USA could be in trouble. That said, don't ever trust Honduras away. They're terrible away.

    Lalas rips USMNT

Say what you want about Lalas. He's spot on here. I watch these recent games and I'm screaming "F***ING DO SOMETHING!" It's so much a bunch of guys thinking they're owed a spot in the World Cup.
