Bayern fans, what is up with the scheduling? A game today and then on Friday-not even Saturday or Sunday. Isn't that too little time in between matches? Are the fans upset at that as well or no?
Dun think Modric is the best footballer but still good to see someone else other than CR7, Messi and Neymar getting the Ballon d’Or.
Other teams are playing Wednesday and Saturday, so it isn't a real difference. Also okay because our CL match is on Tuesday, so playing league on Friday is much better for us.
Kovac really turned Sanches into a confident beast, the guy is bringing a whole new dynamic into our game with how he bullies&runs his was through the middlefield. Too bad he didn't convert on one of his chances, but the last two games have been very promising and he seems to be the only player capable of creating chances out of nowhere. Muller has been an utter disaster for a long time, the guy currently has no business playing for a club like Bayern and we really should sell him. Seeing Thiago and James sitting on the bench while Müller is stumbling around the pitch is just horrible.
Agree when it comes to Sanches. He just needed some minutes and confidence, looks strong. Disargee with your takes on Müller. Hasn't been great yesterday, but was one of our best players in the two first games against Hoffenheim and Stuttgart. Two goals and two assists after five Bundesliga matches is a solid résumé. Once we play real heavyweight opponents in the Champions League I'm also more comfortable with James in the middle, still your criticism is too harsh.
That's the thing with Müller though, often okay against bad opponents but not helping vs good teams or consistently. https://www.transfermarkt.de/thomas...17&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= https://www.transfermarkt.de/thomas...16&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id= In past two seasons, basically all of his goals&assists have come against weaker competition and especially in CL you can only count on him vs opponents like Besiktas, Rostov etc, but not when it really matters (except for a 6:2 routing vs Leverkusen in the cup). With all of his weaknesses, it seems he needs a team tailor-made in order to be effective, I feel like it's a much bigger headache and we should give these minutes to better options.
Well, you need to beat weaker opponents consistently in the first place to win the Bundesliga (Dortmund for example tends to struggle against smaller clubs rather than the other contenders for the CL spots), so having Müller as a flexible option is not too shabby. That's why I think it's too harsh to say he's not good enough for Bayern anymore.
Apparently Barca lost 2-1 to Leganes today. Now it's up to Real to win vs Sevilla and tie Barca for 1 place. In another surprise tonight Club Brugge lost to Deinze from the 3 league in Belgium and got eliminated from the Belgian Cup. It's time to focus on winning another title and getting some points in the Champions League
I have been saying this for a long time now. Muller has been a disaster since the Euros in which was a total failure as well. How he keeps getting free passes on Bayern and the national team is beyond me. And I say this as someone that really liked his game before he turned into a hobo.
Ka-ching Games will be played in Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Cologne, Hamburg, Leipzig, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen and Frankfurt. I saw one match live at the World Cup 2006, will definitely reach out for tickets again.
Think his history (world cup breakout performer in 2010, some important goals in CL) and image (down-to-earth countryside guy who played for Bayern since his childhood days, funny in interviews) are the main factors, otherwise can't explain why so many are still defending him. He's been playing like crap the majority of the past 2-3 yrs, underperforming in crucial games and is one of the most annoying athletes on the pitch (always wildly gesturing and complaining, diving and screaming after fouls, yelling at teammates in-game). Look at someone like Özil who imo played pretty consistent for the national team but was getting criticized to death by often the very same people who defend Müller. It seems extremely biased and isn't based on performance.
