LOL.....Yeah. He didn't look Steve Young his first training camp. He will be a bust! LOL. Hell, Steve Young didn't look like Steve Young until a few years down the road.
You are dumbass. Yeah....a rookie taking time to learn an offense and adjust to the pro game. That should NEVER happen.
For the record, I'm REALLY hoping that he proves me wrong in the long run. I did like some of what I saw from him so he could still turn it all around.
There seems to be a lot of racial bias when it comes to who leads a team, whether it be coach or qb in this forum. Or am I wrong? I want the best option out there. Period. No bias from me.
I didn't want Watson at all. But now that we have him I see some positives in him. I just hope he can put it together.
DeShaun will outwork everyone and maximize his capabilities. He will get better, more accurate, and faster. It may take awhile. Savage may do great for a few years.
I'm really not concerned about Watson at this point. I never expected him to be ready to be the starter this soon. If he isn't ready to be the starter next year at this time, then I may start worrying.
Watson was my pick for this team out of the top 3 and nothing I saw in the preseason makes me want to change my mind.
Perhaps there's some and that's probably what is driving maybe one or two of the really over the top pro-Watson guys, but for the most part I think everyone just wants the best option out there and there is some room for legitimate disagreement there. If Watson does well, I would think everyone would be happy, if Savage does well, everyone but maybe those one or two people will be happy. I think those guys are pretty easy to spot and even easier to ignore.
Fortunately for the Niners, they'd already won championships.... dynasty-style. Houston.... 50 years and waiting
Lol you got it wrong. What Houston usually does is pick the best guy then for some stupid reason they dont play him or develop him correctly he leaves or gets traded then becomes the best one.
Out of the top 4 QBs picked, Watson is the only one who has won a championship and will be the first to win a Superbowl.
You're trying too hard, college "just winz" means nothing. How is Cardale Jones doing? How about Jake Coker? Has A.J. McCarron taken over the world yet? Surely Scam Newton has won a Super Bowl by now right? Tim Tebow was the greatest QB in college football history, so he must be an NFL legend waiting to happen right? Hell has there even been a QB to win a SB after winning a national championship in college since Joe Montana? I'm honestly not sure there has been.
I prefer being realistic to being blindly optimistic. If Watson shows up next year just killing the league then I'll be absolutely thrilled about it, but I think people are setting themselves up for failure by expecting that to happen without a solid basis for that belief.
