A six inch phone is just....smh. Creeping closer to using a Nexus 7 as a phone. I've always thought it was a shame the Nexus devices weren't the biggest sellers in the Android space instead of Samsung's stuff. But it seems like Google doesn't put much effort into making that happen. Appealing only to the phablet crowd seems like the same kind of deal.
a quarter of an inch longer than the iphone 6 + is how you were going to finish that thought I think.
The 6+ is huge. I have no interest in that either. The slimmer bezel helps, but I still don't like the trend of phones creeping into tablet size. I get that the Note (and now +) definitely have an audience and market and that's fine, it just would be a shame if the newest Nexus is only looking for that market. Guess we'll find out soon enough.
i'm a fan, plan on getting nexus 6 when it comes out. i certainly understand people not liking bigger screens, people often post images of someone using an ipad to make a phone call to mock the bigger screens. i always chuckle because the reality is more and more people aren't even using their phones to make calls these days. people just imessage/text and browse the net/play games on their smartphones.
For those saying the Nexus 6 will be bigger than the Iphone 6+ or even the Note 4, look at the Huawei Ascend 7. Its a 6 inch phone that is basically the same size as the Note 4. Thats the beauty of a phone without physical buttons and thin bezels.
No, I am pretty excited about it as well, if these rumors are true. But I do definitely understand that a screen size that huge is a major turn-off to those who would otherwise be interested in the device, over iPhone and other competitors.
less people also hold their phones up to their head when using them. bluetooth microphones and bluetooth in cars makes it very rare.
what? people don't talk on their phones anymore? theres not one day I go without talking on the phone. Not sure if I can go 6 inches, 5.5 seems fine for me
I mostly use my phone for calls as well. The difference in 5.5 and 5.9 will mostly be in phone design. Without a physical button it could easily be shorter. The screen is only .25" longer.
you use your phone without a case? only reason why i can think that bothers you. otherwise it would be covered up
Most phones look the same these days except for the new Blackberry. There's not much you can do different with a glass slab.
