He really does. The Greg Oden of baseball. Hopefully (if he performs well) it helps them promote him aggressively, as opposed to artificially holding him back simply due to his age.
I am starting to have serious doubts about the Astros front office. "Brady Almonte" is clearly not 17 years old, but a 35 year old pipe fitter from California... while his stuff is impressive, it isn't as impressive for a 35 year old.
Also, Aiken does not appear to have calf muscles. Not sure what our scoutin gdepartment is thinking. Hard to project a player without calf muscles.

You are ridiculously negative all the time, it's getting a bit comical. Mellow out. I hope Correa magically conjours unicorns jizzing rainbows of Phil Collins songs straight up in the Seattle Mariners' collective faces. Or something.
If what I said above is ridiculously negative, you're guilty of being hyper-critical.... and your silly references/metaphors (made in a state of inebriation) are also getting a bit tiring, have jumped the shark, and are helping to close down threads. (now if you want to have an actual conversation...) I will say the Astros front office will have their analytical work cut out for them on how to handle Aiken. When it comes to pitchers, the only real tangible data that's out there shows that arms have a finite shelf-life, and younger arms are getting injured faster.... two counter-intuitive philosophies on how to promote them. If he's more "mature" (however you want to consider that... whether its his current talent, his body-type/frame, or his demeanor), it could help lessen the fears of ruining a non-ready-for-increased-strain young arm. After all this, however, handling a fresh Aiken may turn out to be "easier" than what they're currently going through with Appel... who has turned into a bona-fied "project".
Looks like they signed him as a pitcher by looking at his twitter, interesting. Hasn't pitched since 2011 when he made 6 appearances for Itawamba CC
