Didn't see a betting thread out there for this season so wanted to get something started for my fellow degenerates. I missed last night on Southern +40.5 against U of H. Didn't think the Cougars had it in them, but I failed to anticipate just how bad Southern would be. A couple of my favorites for this weekend: Toledo +23.5 vs Florida Ohio +21 vs Louisville Rice +30 vs A&M LSU vs TCU - Under 49.5 Who you feeling good about? God bless football!
I bet Ravens +7.5 as well, but this pick obviously won't count for whatever record tracking we do on this thread... GL!
Reopened my Bovado account last night... and took the over. Great feeling. Do y'all do mostly NFL or NCAA parlays?
NCAA is less volatile IMO. I used to clean up during bowl season when I picked the teams from the stronger conferences straight up. It's gotten tougher, especially with the spread offense, but I still do better with NCAA gambling. I like prop bets in the NFL. I'll never forget Peyton Manning throwing a meaningless dink pass to Addai during the Superbowl when IND needed a TD to tie, Addai was tackled in the backfield, the game was over at that point, I jumped up screaming, Addai had just gone over the number of receptions I needed. People looked at me like I was crazy. Won big that day.
Haha I know the feeling. I used to be big on NBA player prop bets for the longest time. Back when McGrady and Yao were out, Sportsbook used to have a deal where they would have a player prop for every time. They had Scola as the Rockets main guy, and they always had a 4.5 pt first quarter prop. Every time. Scola had set plays that we would run, and he was good for a solid 7 points every first quarter, and Sportsbook never noticed. Huge winnings. He was my Addai.+ That being said, I may take a look at the college lines and do a decent 2 or 3 team parlay.
These past 2 weeks I've listened to some podcasts to get input from "experts." What I'm realizing is that I did a lot better when I just made the picks myself.
The first few weeks are chaos in general, nobody knows anything but historical data can help. Anyone follow the sidelineview.com advice? Lance's comments on certain team's o-lines (and d-lines actually) have helped me in the past. What happens in the trenches is huge and it can be one of the harder parts of the game to follow.
I use betUS, but there's probably better ones out there. Todays bets- SHSU +42 TTU -35 Baylor -26.5 Minnesota -13.5
I was looking good with Tennessee giving Western Kentucky 13 points. Now Western Kentucky is starting to comeback smfh
Did a couple parlays so far today. Cougars and Florida both -3. Edit: WOW. Florida's QB is absolute dog****.
4/4 last week surprisingly..Thought I would lose at least one Thursday bets- TTU +7 (bought 4 pts) TTU Over 30 2 units on Over 30.. 1 Unit on +7
