I hope Oregon loses so I can yell at everybody about pee-pee games and pee-pee conferences. Patiently waiting...
These new bowl projections look pretty bleak. I would hate it if Alabama ended up in a bad bowl and had to play some crappy Big 10 team. (Capital One Bowl 2011)
Pretty weak slate of games overall. There really isn't a big time marquee game to speak that jumps out at me, but I think there are some good games in the undercard, if you will. I think Okie State and Tech is an interesting game. Oklahoma State is quietly having a pretty good season in a year when a lot of folks (myself included) thought they would fall back. Tech had a really nice start to the season, but they are staring 7-5 in the face after a 6-1 start. I also think USC/UCLA will be fun. USC needs something positive to happen in a very disappointing season and beating UCLA handily might do the trick and (hopefully) lead them into a win over Notre Dame in the last week of the season. And, of course, UCLA wants to get out of big brother's shadow.
You really think the PAC 12 is a bad conferences? Their new members have underperformed me for sure but Utah lost their top 2 QBs, Top to bottom is I'd say they aren't that far behind the Big 12. Pee pee? No way. Keep that stuff form the Big 10 ACC, and other paper tigers.
Honestly not sure about the Pac 12. I was excited about all of the coaches in that league but it'll take another year or two to show on the field. I'm just tired of Oregon, people always want to fall in love with the snazzy offense. Makes me grumpy. Let KSU and ND punt each other to death.
I'm with you on the ducks. Where were they a few years ago? Seems like a flash in the pan. Thanks, Nike.
Since I had nothing better to do, I compared the Ducks and Tide's last 19 years. one team: 159-65 71% winning percentage 12 times in year end AP top 25 other team: 161-75 68% winning percentage 11 times year end AP top 25 Neither team is a flash in the pan. That's pretty close. Of course the 2nd team has 2 national championships, which is a tiebreaker. I know that Nike money has improved facilities, but I'm not sure how that money is making plays on the field.
Maybe. They have all that talent on O but defensively, not very good to say the least. They could keep Kiffin and make him fire his dad, ha. @PedroMoura: Lane Kiffin said he’s been assured by Pat Haden he will be back next season no matter what happens this year.
