saw this on Reddit, an impressive offensive display <iframe width="480" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/e9vvy9m84-U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
More like the White Chocolate highlight show. Yeah, that team had Williams, Peja, Webber, and Divac, 4 of the best passers in the league, plus a great offensive coach in Adelman. But Williams was wildly inconsistent and not a dependable shooter. They were much better with Mike Bibby as PG.
I wonder what you would need to recreate that in the modern game. I think Rubio/Curry at the PG, Marc Gasol at center. Maybe Iggy on a wing. Someone like Anthony Davis running down the court. And a shooter like Klay Thompson at the other wing.

Iggy can't shoot like Peja. Blake is no Webber. Have you seen Webber running the offense in the high post? What the highlight reel showed was mostly fast break action. Their half court game was equally beautiful.
Iggy can't shoot but he would be a wonderful finisher. He's also a great passer and rebounder. He can be a secondary playmaker. Plus his cutting with Rubio and Marc Gasol would be quite beautiful.
the announcer that said "If you dont like that you dont like NBA basketball" overused that term it got annoying......
C - Pau Gasol or his brother, Bizarro Gasol (Both players are probably better than Vlade) PF - Blake Griffin (he doesn't hold a candle to Chris Webber, but he is still top position talent) SF - Kevin Durant (A way more high-flying, high octane aggressive scoring Peja Stojakovic) SG - Tony Allen (Comparable to Doug Christie without the 3 point shooting) PG - Steph Curry (Combine Michael Bibby and Jason Williams with slightly more athleticism ... Steph Curry).
they were awesome to watch. my ex wife bought us floor seats at the summit in to watch them. bunch of guys from Serbia or somewhere in the top rows yelling something divac. cuttino, stevo, and crew going for 21% shooting or something (seriously), it was a franchise low. great night.
Always prefered this video: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vglV2qpoD70" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I liked that team, LeBron clear cut superstar...Kevin Love, a natural second option and perimeter threat, along with Green. Rubio brings defense, though I don't know who gets to play distributor the most between him and LeBron.
This is just beautiful! What a show! I'm really sorry I wasn't old enough to appreciate this but I know great basketball when I see it! That's how basketball is supposed to be played! 5 players working together like a well oiled machine. It's a shame the NBA will never go back to that style of play and that Sacramento team won't be remembered as champions.
If Sacramento won a championship with that style of play, the NBA would translate to that and I think the game would be so much better!
