We won the first two games in San Antonio that year in the Western COnference Finals, and then lost two at home, only to win the next two games and the series.

The Mavs haven't outplayed us these last two games - we've beaten them for 3 1/2 quarters every game, but mental lapses have cost us in the end. I think this team will come out with intensity game 5 since they'll be on the road and on a mission.

I think we can take the next two and end this thing in a week if we just get our intensity and outside shooting going again.

Maybe, but I don't like the team's performances in the pressure of the 4th quarter the last two games. No one wants the ball and everyone is content to stand around and watch McGrady take 20-footers off the dribble. Not a good sign.

You want another odd parallel to that 1995 series? After dropping Game 3 at home to the Spurs, Rudy T replaced Pete Chilcutt as the starting power forward with Chucky Brown.

After dropping Game 3 at home to the Mavs, Van Gundy replaced Ryan Bowen as the starting power forward with Scott Padgett.

Hakeem Olajuwon's not walking through that door........
Clyde Drexler's not walking through that door................
Robert Horry's not walking through that door.................
Hell, Chucky Brown is not walking through that door......

(please excuse the weak Pitino rehash)

    Best series ever.

If we do it again, it's definitely better than route out Dallas with 4:0.

That team had the mental toughness to come back and win the last 2 games. Does this team have the same mental toughness?? I guess it remains to be seen.

I don't know but I like how Ginobili plays..every single play he is fighting and doing everything..not consistent though and wild. He is lucky to have good players with him. Duncan is the man inside.

Yao and Tmac are good..and can be the best duo in the league..but I think they need some help offensively and defensively next year. Bring Cato back..get Badiane here or something I don'tk now. Tyson Chandler :) big dream

    Clyde Drexler = Tracy McGrady
    Hakeem Olajuwon >>>>>>> Yao Ming

I think our guys are going to roll up into a ball and cry themselves to sleep tonight, and get rolled in Game 5.

There's a difference between supporting your team, and making educated and objective observations and predictions.

I will be watching and cheering every minute this team is playing, but I just don't see them winning 2 of the next 3.

    #1 seed Spurs >>>>>> #4 seed Mavs

We could even go down the line and say Robinson>Dirk, Eliiot>Finley, etc.

All I know is we're gonna see what this team is made of - if they win games 5 and 6, it will show how tough this team really i - and I'm almost positive we would be the Suns if we won Games 5 and 6, simply because that would mean this team has caught fire again.

If nothing else, having and older team means more urgency in these guys - the '95 Rockets had mostly guys who already had rings - but they used Drexler as motivation to get one more. I think this is a good wake-up call four this particular ream.

I'd be shocked to see Barry have the type of game he had in Game 4, anyway.

    We need to:

    1. GET BOARDS!! Hell, put Weatherspoon out there.
    2. GET TMAC/YAO the ball in the 4th.

If we do those 2 things, we'll win.

thing is, the mavs keep letting us beat them up for 3 and 1/2 quarters

if we continue to have collapses like ones in game 3 and 4, we will lose this series.

and for the last time this isn't the san antonio series, ya make it seem like we're fated to win the next two games

nothing will be given to us.
