In the Holgerson thought experiment, the Houston Cougar is put into a box with a Mustang, where it could either be eating the mustang for lunch, or saving it for dinner. Both are simultaneously true, until one door opens, and another closes. And that is diabolical.
The only way we win this week is if SMU can't figure out the Coogs defense. Otherwise, I'm afraid it ain't gonna be pretty. Belk...prove me otherwise.
Very surprised SMU is not favored by at least a TD in this game given the laundry list of crappy opponents we have played so far to get to our 6-1 record. We have a better than average defense that at times has played as good as any Cougar teams I can remember in recent history but our offense is just so predictable and most of the time our OL is terrible. A win Sat night would be huge.
I agree with Fertitta, the game today against SMU is the biggest game for the UH football program in years. A win today puts us in the driver's seat for conference championship game, almost certain puts us in top 25, and big shot in the arm for recruiting.
Beautiful weather (I'm assuming in Houston, it is up here), Stros in WS...Coogs playing a night game. Boo. Guess I'll watch the first hour and dvr the rest. Although if @DonnyMost is as smart as he seems, I might not need to bother with the dvr.
