Saturday 3p TV: ABC ch 13 Radio: 950am Weather: 46 degrees Line: Cincy -10.5 Totals : 54.5 Moneyline: Cincy -435. Coogs +325 Cougars are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings. Road team is 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings. Bearcats are 5-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Bearcats are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 games in December. Go Coogs!!!!!!!
I just don't believe that Cincinnati will blow out the Cougars like they did SMU. No doubt, UH must play a near mistake free game, but I think it will be close. And in the end, Houston ruins the BearCats season and goes to a major bowl game. UH by 3.
Houston will win this game the same way they always do, speed. This has been our advantage for nearly 4 decades of football. Turn it into a track meet. Houston 54 Cincinnati 21.
Houston will be the best defense Cincinnati has played by a mile. McCaskill might be the best player on the field. Hell the two beat players on the field might be wearing Cougar jerseys. Will go down to the wire.
Someone is going to destroy Cincinnati soon enough. Might as well be Houston! Cincy is a very good team, but so overrated right now. I don’t necessarily think Houston will beat them, but they very well could.
I think I’m going to root for Cincinnati to win because I want to see a team from the group of five play in the playoffs.
Speaking of overrated. Notre Dame hasn't exactly played murderer's row. Their wins are against opponents that are a combined 59-71. Only 3 of them have a winning record (1 of which is Toledo at 7-5).
The consolation prize for losing is that Cinci (presumably) goes to the playoff which is a big boost for the conference. So, we can't really go wrong. That being said, I want that NY6 bid. Is it Fiesta or Peach this year? I think it's Fiesta.
If UH beats Cincinnati, will that be enough to put UH into the NY6? Won't Cincinnati still be ranked ahead of them or do I not know how the NY6 works? I just don't see Houston jumping over them considering how far behind them they are.
Highest-ranked champion from the AAC, C-USA, MAC, MW & Sun Belt will play in a New Year’s Six bowl – either a College Football Playoff semifinal, Peach Bowl, or Fiesta Bowl.
Oh, I know UH's schedule is hot trash. However, nobody has been tickling UH's balls about the CFBP and going out of their way to rank them in the top 10 all year long.
If we beat Cinci we almost certainly leapfrog SDSU (playing unranked Utah State this week) and take the G5 autobid for NY6.
