Too bad John McCain couldn't support the troops all the way today when he insulted General Casey at his confirmation hearing to become the Army Chief of Staff

Josh is much more civil than I would be. --

If there's anyone left who thinks there's much redeemable about Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) get ready to change your mind. Here he is at this morning's hearings for the nomination of Gen. Casey to be Army Chief of Staff. Remember that Casey was the top commander in Iraq. And according to the new Bush script he's responsible for ignoring Iraq's steady slide into anarchy over the last three years. All General Casey's fault. Bush would have gotten serious about security. Sent new troops. Done whatever. But Gen. Casey just kept him in the dark. And here's Sen. McCain going along with the malarkey.

Casey was definitely part of what's happened in Iraq. He was the senior commander. He's responsible too. But to imagine that he led the president down the garden path? Please.

    Trader_J, you're seriously hilarious.

Was that video actually from Malkin? In that case, I'm not going to watch it. She turns my stomach, and if it's connected to her, I want no part of it.

basso you are misrepresenting the poll. This is from the link you have already provided.
Less than half of the soldiers in Iraq believe we should have ever gone to Iraq in the first place. In fact soldiers that don't believe it have more substantial lead in the poll than Bush got in 2004.

My original post was correct in its presentation of the information. I am supporting the majority of the troops who don't believe we should have ever gone into Iraq in the first place. You are advocating supporting the minority of the troops.

    basso go poof.

When confronted with incontrovertible proof he is dead wrong, he just pretends it didn't happen! Yay!

And when reminded that our great troop supporter, vanquisher of libpigs everywhere, called homeless vets leeches on society, Jorge plays the sober administrator! Sis boom bah! Troops are the bomb!*

(* but only when they're fighting and dying for Republican presidents. When they get home they might turn into scumbags, traitors or leeches. Ask Jorge which is which.)

Oh, dag! I'm bald! Thas cold.

In other words, basso go poof. Stomped on poll wrongness, basso come back, say he not invested in Casey, not respond to poll wrongness, call Batman bald. Cold! But it leaves out, of course, the idea that he is now on the wrong side of the troops on this war, those troops he's been crying about supporting "all the way" for years.
