What about a bag of pop... corn?
Nope. Front office knows they got the puppet they want after the first 2 games of this series.
For what? No one would want him...
Maldonado of last year would be a silver slugger to Abreu.... and we barely overcame that
We just need half of Javier, McCullers, Garcia, Urquidy to show a pulse this year...
A reminder... this fan base wanted Yuli gone at age 38 when he was hitting .242 BA, .288 OBP, .360 SLG, .647 OPS... and 8 SB with a 99.6% fielding...
I swear if we try to have a modern version of the Kemp-for-Maldy trade to get him back again... I would rather have the corpse of Brian McCann or...
Abreu with all salary paid with Melton, Baez, Arrighetti, Matthews, Dezenzo, Loperfido, COle, Blubaugh, Fleury, and Gordon to the Angels for...
This is insane... granted, I am one of the few that doesn't mind Yordan in the field, but forcing Singleton from first to DH is a downgrade in two...
Hard for the pitching to last if they have to routinely get 2-3 extra outs per game because the defense especially at first base is that atrocious.
Espada needs to grow a spine and stand up to Bagwell/Reggie/Crane... that may actually earn respect from them and the clubhouse. But he can't...
I don't think Espada even has the freedom to do that. If he came up to bat in the 9th... Dubon, Chas, and Caratini would also been forced to sit.
I thought the same about Loperfido.
Bregman provided the only offense of the game... that being said... if Correa can bat 6th or 7th in his prime here, so can Bregman.
What is the pulse of the players on Abreu coming back up? Has Abreu lost the confidence of his own teammates?
Who's whining to ownership? Bregman? Chas? And Framber?
Yuli OPS in AAA is .716 this season so far... which is more than 500 points higher than Abreu's OPS in AAA.
But the same front office is the one forcing Jose Abreu to start at first base...
Jose Abreu's defense makes me miss Chris Carter and Brett Wallace.
