T-Mobile USA sucks so much in comparison to Deustch Telekom (Tmobile Europe) they have a decent phone selection, including plenty windows phones

I really hope you're not talking about the Evo Shift lol. The HTC Thunderbolt will basically be the EVO 2 but for Verizon, their first 4g phone.
AT&T is not worried about 3g. I'm sure Verizon has you covered, and yes you can keep your number.
