I didn't miss the point, I was just explaining why the Knicks would not trade Randolph for their lottery-protected pick.
If the Knicks accepted the trade under Morey's conditions, it would not have given them any more flexibility to trade for Carmelo.
Carmelo Anthony?
I think looking at his college numbers could help shed some light on his shooting. [IMG] Two things that stick out: -FT Shooting.....
I really don't think Kevin Martin has enough value to be the main piece in trading for a superstar. We acquired him for what.. our backup power...
Interesting question.. would you be willing to overpay to get one? Usually you hear trade proposals that end with, "and if they want our 1st round...
I think you'll see them on the court together plenty.. and I'm not sure about the better jumpshooter part of that. Lowry has been solid for less...
I doubt Williams rides the bench for too long.. he brings a lot more to the table than Budinger does. It's only a matter of time..
Williams shouldn't be included in that.. we traded our own 2012 1st rounder for him, which we did not get from the Knicks in the McGrady swap....

Question.. with the Rockets 2012 pick lottery protected.. and each subsequent year lottery protected until 2017.. does that mean that the Rockets...
Good call. All things equal, I would have taken Randolph. Actually.. I might still take Randolph. Odds are that NY pick they wanted back would...
It's a nice theory, but.. JT was just traded for absolutely nothing. You don't have to showcase a guy to do that.
Thanks for the update. (when I wrote that, the details of the moves to clear a roster spot were not known.)
OP is right. Battier has done wonders mentoring Budinger's defensive development.
Is there such a thing as that?
 "I assume the 2nd round pick was conditional?"
Agreed. I'll let you guys know if I find out anything about the JT deal.. got the lottery-protection info from him DM'ing me on twitter.
