Yep, it's as good as the analog signal was on the original broadcast. Don't go in expecting HD or upcovented quality.
good sale! just picked up the rockets ones, bubba-hotep, and seasons 3-5 of cheers for $15 each. i love the free 5-9 day shipping option. lots of good stuff on this sale.
I got both the 1994 finals and the 25 last champions dvds last year for Christmas. I highly reccomend these, something very cool to have. Great for the offseason.
Do they show actual games for the 25 last champions dvd, or is it basically like 25 versions of the clutch city dvd, just switched up per champion? And I was SOOOO close to buying that bad boys set, mainly because they had the la and bulls series on there.
They're still working on this set--it's hard to find fillers for 3 games.. blame the magic for getting swept!
Thanks so much for posting this sale, and thanks to aussie rocket for posting the link to pontel as well. I have both the 1994 championship series and the 1995 Rockets-Spurs series on the way. As much as winning the city's first championship meant, I have to admit I'm most looking forward to re-watching Hakeem's dismantling of Robinson - that was one of the best individual playoff performances in history.
They didn't quote shipping or tax. Sorry. I'll just find out when they bill my card I guess. Normally I would never be so nonchalant about ordering from a random internet site, but I've seen enough people mention ordering from them online that I'm fairly confident there won't be any huge surprises. And I've always said I'd pay a lot to see that San Antonio series again!
dude, i aint no father--but i am a rockets fan and my keyboard just caught fire from my fingers ordering that dvd! thanks!
to IceHouse and zzblack, the shipping and handling costs are within the price !!! or at least they certainly are to Australia - dont know if the US has some kind of import tax or something though?? thats what makes them extra good value. Been buying from Pontel for years, always efficient and helpful, they are a great service....sound like I work for them dont I, haha. to shasta the link again is www.pontel.com click on the classic DVD's and follow your nose from there.
kick ass. I could stand to replace my aging vhs. I need clutch city I/II on dvd too. have had them on vhs for a long time. some of the few vhs I still have & why I still my vcr connected.
i finally got mine in the mail today! i'm reliving the dream, baby! the first thing i did was put in game 7. i just had to see the opening dunk by hory. that had to be my favorite moment of the series.
Horry had some bloody impressive jams in the 94/95 playoff series. One in particular in the 94 Finals (Game 3?) changed directions on the dribble from the top of the key with a reverse pivot and weaved his way through about 4 NY defenders for a thunderous Statue of Liberty dunk. Was awesome to watch Rob.
every time he threw down in the playoffs was so electrifying! I wouldn't have argued if he had won the mvp of the orlando series in '95.
