OU offensive coordinator and #1 assistant coach Mark Mangino will be coaching at Kansas next year. I don't have a link yet, but it was on ESPN...
Apparently, Mangino couldn't turn down the "all you can eat" clause" that KU offered. Playing OU isn't going to be the same without that fat tub of lard pacing back and forth on the sidelines.
This might actually help OU. They haven't had a good offense since Heupel got hurt mid-year last year.
Stoops said that he wants a balanced offense at OU. Maybe Mangino saw the writing on the wall. It helps OU in that sense, also I think it helps KU. Mangino was an assistant at K-State so he knows the territory very well. I wonder what happens to the OU job if Stoops goes to ND. Stoops is an Ohio native and turned down the Browns and Ohio State last year. Can you imagine Stoops at ND? First thing he would do is create the Bob Stoops show to air in primetime on NBC. And if Bob Stoops goes, then Mike Stoops will probably go as well. Decisions, decisions.
