It's interesting. It feels like the 1st round went well for the Texans and there are so many good players left that there would be no reason to trade up at this point. I'm not a college football guy, that's just me gathering general public opinion on this website and others. But it seems like Caserio tends to go all in on certain guys and it wouldn't surprise me if there are 2 or 3 that he really, really wants. So a trade up tonight wouldn't surprise me despite the appearance that a good player that the Texans can use will be there at 42.
My immediate thoughts were that this was part of a trade/drafted for another team. This is the only thing that makes sense to me, otherwise, yeah, baffling.
I know people want defense, but I really like Ladd McConkey. You can never have enough healthy receivers, but I trust the F.O. on whoever they pick.
not really if you are copying the Jordan Love model, and you are worried Denver/Vegas/Minn would take Penix, you draft him.
Haha could you a imagine a draft where we end up with 4 guys that have ALL been discussed at pick #42 at one point or another??
This would be a banger draft, about the only way to make it better would be to luck into a developmental OT/OG like Puni/Amegadjie or Malik Washington/Javon Baker at WR for pick 123.
