Home loses kept Astros from being one of the greatest teams of all time. 8 losses at home to Nationals(19), Rangers(23) Astros go 2-6 in those 8 games and they have a WS & ALCS banner hanging.
The bright side is Yankees got all the breaks -- bloop hits and umpiring. There were 3 questionable calls that led to challenges. ALL went in the Yankees favor. Series should've been 2-2 even with the Astros subpar performance.
Only one AL team made it farther last season. And that was with their own manager sabotaging the team.
It's painfully obvious of two things -Dusty Baker sold the Astros soul for 2022 -It's now the curse of Maldy
Pretty awful series. Bullpen awful and offense just one non competitive AB after another from our vaunted MVPs
We were supposed to be lockdown after 6 innings with a lead but lost 3 of them the way we weren’t supposed to…on to the next
I know they won't be most likely. Putting it out there for when the end of the season happens and we miss the playoffs... and they bolt anyway (or suck ass)
Justin Verlander 1 month away. Lance McCullers and Luis Garcia All Star Break Returns from Tommy John Surgery.
Yankees aren’t as good as they looked and the Astros aren’t as bad as they looked. Well maybe Jose abreu is lol
It amazes me how many people genuinely believe this season is already a lost cause. We lost 4 games where seemingly every single lucky bounce went the Yankees way and we couldn’t catch a single break. Today was the epitome of that. Hard hit balls all day long for the Astros and not much to show for it. Meanwhile the Yankees score multiple runs on bloop singles. This is all just part of baseball. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we’d all be feeling much different if these were 4 games in the middle of June as opposed to the first 4 games of the season. Are there legitimate things that need to be fixed? Sure. Is there more than enough reason to think they’ll be fixed in the remaining 158 games? Absolutely.
Not sure how we’re already jumping to the conclusion that we’re gonna miss the playoffs after 4 extremely unlucky games.
That's fine if you don't see it now. There's still hope. But when it happens you'll remember this post.
