I thought they were going to do something with the batter's eye in the offseason. Nothing has changed. Scored one run off of Sugar Land yesterday.
The batting eye changed before the 2017 season. It's been there for easily the greatest run this city has ever had, but suddenly it's a problem because of one fluke season.
It was said to be a problem the second half of the 2017 season as the Astros struggled more at home than the road. We later found out it wasn't the batter's eye that was the issue, it was a dumb cheating system that caused them to play worse overall when it was used. If the batter's eye is in their head, then it's going to have an impact.
Home batter’s eye is the Astros daddy. He owns us! Astros 0-8 against him when game mattered most in 19 and 23
Its a problem if the players complain about it. Are they? We really don't know their thoughts for last season. But I am pretty sure their was some complaining more recently than 2017.
Saw on X, don’t know why they chose this exact date, couldn’t believe it, but 7-24 (including postseason) at home since August 18. That is crazy. (39-42 at home last year)
