Imagine supporting players over what's best for the team. Imagine other straw men arguments.

This is great for Jalen... keep it up.

Green has been playing great recently.

More than just a few highlight reel plays every game.

Props to Jalen, he has been playing better in all areas. If he can keep up this level of play, the Rockets will have a shot at the playoffs next season.

Wrong - we're asking which Jalen showed up?

The one that shoots .31% for most of the season or the one who has shot .347 (34 of 98) in the last 10 games or the 10 before that where he shot .210 from 3 (12 of 57).

Jalen's value goes as his shooting goes - if he can shoot that near 35% he's a solid starter but if he's shooting that .210 .... he's a drag on the entire team.

Just dig thru the shooting logs for yourself - it's pretty easy to see that when Jalen shoots well, both he and the team fare well and when he doesn't, both struggle. Jalen Green 2023-24 Game Log | Basketball-Reference.com

Jalen figuring it out is the quickest way for the Rockets to become a playoff team .... I think we all would prefer him to play well.

There are few if any Jalen "haters" on this Houston Rockets forum. Maybe a few bigots who are really upset about his fingernails and the J-Gup video?

There are, however, many people unhappy with his (to this point in the season) poor three point shooting and inability to space the floor like a score-first shooting guard should in 2024. Pretty sure all of us in that category would be thrilled if he turned his shooting around for good and started playing the way we need him to play.

That's WC Player of the Week awards for both 3rd year Rockets players in Sengun and Green.

So, Alpi is the switching stretch 5 you are referring to?? Or did you mean Jabari as a switching stretch 5?

Because Jabari doesn't play the 5 when Alpi is in there, does he?

    This.

I still dont trust him but im happy hes playing well and its great to see him playing with joy and confidence again.

I think the nba really wants Jalen to be a star and if he keeps playing well i think he'll quickly start getting more star calls.
