I don't know enough about him really, but whatever the problem is, he seems to have one so far in the big league. Honestly, my point was who knows how the little guy will fare down the road. He might be great, or just end up another college star turned backup in the NFL like Keenum.
My point was Bryce will go nowhere but up from here and have a much more successful career than Case. No doubt in my mind. Only thing that can stop him is injuries. Watch this brief video from shortly after the draft of the Panthers stupid owner and read the tweet below it. Unreal. I feel bad for Bryce.
Young's not looking good. Think Tepper obviously forced the pick. There were rumors that Reich was more into Stroud which made sense since all of his previous QBs had good size.
Mans threw a pick on a screen play. Not sure when is the last time I've seen that. To be honest the execution of that play looked terrible either way.
Panthers drafted a midget (reports out they had to “dumb down” the playbook) Colts drafted a 6’6 monster that’s been hurt in every game he’s played.
wait...is someone suggesting the Panthers are seriously considering trading him right now? Or is that just speculation and "what if"??
I'm still thinking that Bryce will likely be fine. He's not playing as well as I thought he would, but he's still got the tools to be above average. The issue is more that Carolina gave up a haul to get him and he's playing worse than the other two rookies, right now. Nobody thought Stroud would play as well as he is. The edited version of this thread title would be something like, "Thank You Lovie Smith, You Absolute Genius!"
i remember when the trade went down it got tons of hype, and the narrative was about how the panthers 'control the draft' like they pulled off some genius move. still early but wild to think that in reality, all they really did was give up tons of capital, including a likely top 2 pick in next year's draft, just to draft bryce young.
