I watched the first game and parts of a couple of others. I found them to be entertaining overall. There is too much noice and chatter. The drones are annoying. The play is pretty good for minor league football. Playing all the games in one stadium is not going to work.
I guess I get one site to save on expenses especially if TV is more important than ticket sales (fans) but why Birmingham? Why not find a larger city with a domed stadium or multiple stadiums. Today was probably worst case scenario for the USFL. Only get in 2 games, delayed due to weather, and no fans.
The USFL is crazy. They have a show like Hard Knocks and aired a player getting cut for allegedly disrespecting hotel staff. I thought it was a joke. Player: Yo can I get a pizza? Staff: No, is that gonna be a problem? Player: Yes. Cut. This ain’t the NFL man you can’t get whatever you want on the menu. You get what they give you.
He didn't...Frank Reich did. The Oilers beat his ass like a drum in the regular season game that preceded it.
They should just give the tickets out for free to kids and anyone who will take them, and try to build a base of fans first. Make some money elsewhere. Only watched the highlights, but they looked good enough to watch and root for. But they gotta get fans in the seats.
I laughed when they cut the guy for drinking the complimentary mini drinks in the hotel room fridge. Too funny. This is not the NFL.
I tried to watch but I could not get into it, I loved the original Gamblers but this is not that. I don't care if its the XFL or USFL I just cant get into it.....and dam the stadium was like 99.9% empty
Are they playing every game in Birmingham again? I don't know how they expect to build fan bases that way.
