No, but 7'0 with 7'6 wingspan that actually has ball handling skills, strong defensive instincts, and can shoot the ball! He also seems to have some good fundamentals down! There's some things you can teach. Height, and wingspan is not!
Personally I like both players for all of the reasons cited above. If we have #1, I likely go Chet. He's definitely the most unique of the two and offers a skillset that would really blend well with Green and Sengun. Banchero was impressive against Kentucky, very composed and super smooth. Want to see Chet play Texas, that should be fun.
Yeah but can he dominate NBA athletic beasts? Plus can he really shoot the ball? Did you look at his percentages in the past it aint good.
He’s had some good shooting and some not good shooting. But the stroke is there. He has plenty of athleticism to hang with the leagues best. Not sure the league can hang with him at his size, athleticism and ball handling. He’s a wing that’s 7’1
At this early point after only watching one game for each, I would go Banchero, Duren, Chet. Duren over Chet because of body type.
I love Chet. But I don’t see the purpose of having identically skilled players between him and Al P when you can have Al P Banchero and JG who all bring something different to the table.
So one of the longest players ever, with elite defense and offensive upside that flirted with a quadruple double in his first college game doesn’t do anything for you? Chet offers so much more than Paolo and specially Duren.
I think Chet and Alp have enough differences to compliment each other. Specially defensively. Just don’t think Paolo offers much else outside of offense to this team. Chet offers more playmaking, defense, handles. Paolo shoots more smoothly.
