Boycott all of Tilman's businesses. This man bought this team with no interest in winning holding millions of fans, some who have spent decades rooting for the rockets, hostage. It is partly an ego play, partly about threading water and running the cheapest franchise while hoping to sell for much more later. You should not be supporting this type of owners. From all reports he is a despicable human being stiffing his minimum wage casino workers off their benefits If you need additional reasoning the blood money source of his wealth (mafia money) should be more than enough reason for the NBA to have prevented this purchase. Will a mexican cartel boss's son or grandson be allowed to purchase an NBA team? Here are some of the restaurants we should boycott. Spread the word
Please add any restaurants or business interests I have missed. Spread this movement all over houston. He must be forced to sell this team to well intentioned people.
I feel Tilman wants to win, problem is he has taken bad advice from someone or group of advisers. I've recommended, "Small-Ball," using predominantly small forwards and power forwards. As a means of not giving me credit, they have been trying do use the same model but with guards. SF's can defend up to centers or play down to guards defensively, shoot just as good as guards nowadays on the perimeter. Problem is when you use mostly guards, they lack the size to play up defensively to the level of PF's and Centers. Lack the skills to block out, rebound, block shots at a higher level consistently. If it is Patrick Fertitta, he probably was trying to save his dad some money as guards are cheaper than SF's. Brown with the Nets plays up defensively, but take away DeAndre Jordan or Claxton......and they become undersized and probably losing more games than not. Bringing in Olynyk is a good sign the Rockets are moving more towards the Silas system. Similar to Mavs stuff last season.
I think I ate at a salt grass once in the 90's. My family used to eat at Cadillac Bar under previous ownership. That's it. I've never even been to any of the other places.
Rockets fans are easily the worst fan base that I have ever seen, so maybe this is Tilman's way of boycotting us.
lol we’re a sensitive bunch that’s for sure I’ve no interest in blaming the owner at this point. I’ve yet to figure out what we thought the rebuild after Harden would look like. It’s in our best interest to stay one of the worst three teams. I don’t think we’re as bad as our record. Last night is a glimpse of what we can be but take it with a grain of salt as it was also against the worst team in the league. I just want to see good ball movement and watch inspiring basketball. Love watching the young guys like Martin and Porter. I’m enjoying Augustin more than I thought I would and Olynk looked good with this team also. Still would like to see Wood and Olynk or Wilson on the floor at the same time.
For the time being, I am not buying any Rockets gear. I am not going to go to any Rockets games. I won't do anything that directly benefits the organization. I'd be hesitant to suggest a boycott on Tilly's other ventures for the simple reason that he'll take it out on his employees. That said, I don't go to any of those establishments anyway.
Lol. The fact that this many people are still posting on a Rockets message board in their free time after Tilman has taken a wrecking ball to the org is proof that your hyperbole is hyperbole.
Except half the "fans" on this board do nothing but bash the team. They did when it was Harden and they still do now.
It's far too difficult to hit Tilman where he hurts, imo. If the peak of Covid-19 didn't bankrupt Tilman, nothing will...at least, for the foreseeable future. Don't think you'll find enough Rockets fans to not go to a Tilman-owned property for it to make a difference.
