Carl is perusing the thread titled, “The Staying Power of Christian Wood” and wondering why he didn’t come up with that.
I thought he looked pretty good too. Didn’t need to force anything due to the score. I also think his ankle is still bothering him a little but he did seem to have more pep him today so that is a good sign. I like how they kept finding PJ wide open in the corner. Even passed on a couple of semi open looks to get PJ a wide open look. Hopefully something has clicked for this team although it was just the Magic.

As long as the ball is moving, and we’re winning games, I’m perfectly fine with Harden having 18/11 line splits the rest of his time here. But I also understand fans who still want Harden to put up more respectable numbers than that.
I felt like the effort was there tonight for Harden. We don't need James to score 40 points a night for us to win. The ball movement tonight was beautiful.
Harden is playing hard and he is feeling his way through the new offense and playing within system. The one thing that I observe and I may be wrong is that he does not get into a rhythm enough without the ball and because of the other ballhandler Wall. So it is a work and progress and hopefully he gets more comfortable as time goes on.
He certainly is playing smarter and I believe it’s the coaching. Silas has said from day one that his mission was to make scoring easier for Harden and the offense more difficult to defend. Harden wasn’t jacking up threes. If he didn’t have the shot he passed it away or dribble drove and only took the layup if he had it. He was making the right reads on almost all his possessions. I do think it’s a work in progress where he hasn’t yet unlocked and found the happy medium where he can score more.
Fake news. Rockets over the years have rarely if ever demonstrated an ability to win on any kind of regular basis without Harden being a monster scoring machine. We want wins. If this can happen with Harden being a 20/12 guy so be it.
Agreed which is why I have just kinda laughed when posters suggested he had hurt his value in any kind of way. GMs arent butt hurt fans.
I think Silas wanted to use less of iso ball and wanted more ball movement so it seems Harden is just following the coach's orders. Also, dishing 13 assists is not considered a role player.
Silas is wrong if you are right and his goal is to.play Harden like a typical SG. Harden should be used like Luka, the more ball dominant (read high usage) the better.
