He had 5 fouls, CP3 was hunting him. You need to understand basketball. Smh Where have you been these last 10 games if you haven't figured out that Harden has sharpened up his perimeter D?
then he should of sit.... why have him in the game if he wont defend and wont move his feet on the inbound?
1. Dantoni should have started subbing Defense/Offense 2. HE should have advanced the ball Rocket River
So Billy Donovan could find ways to attack Harden with 5 fouls but D'antoni couldn't find ways to get Dort off Harden? interesting......
He definitely got benched for foul trouble early. He had 3 fouls in the first quarter. Not sure why he was abandoned for the rest of the game.
I totally agree with OP and posted this in the game thread: This loss is on Daniel House. - Had a bad defense read which led to a crucial 3 pointer - Missed second free throw to retake the lead - Missed a rebound which led to Daniel Gallinari free throws
Before House completely f-cked up, he was balling on defense and on offense(he was aggressive). I can see why MDA left him in. MDA is not a situational coach. He will play Harden and PJ no matter what and everyone else it's a feeling for him. Couple minutes for Roco would have been nice
House has been balling out but man there's just no excuse for that last play, unforgivable But I forgive him. Missed opportunity
House will learn from this mistake (leaving the corner 3 wide open). Missing a crucial ft happens, even to superstars. On to game 4.
Russ needs to come back or these series will be tied 2-2 Harden has no answer for Dort defense right now
Need an explanation from Dantoni why Covington was benched. Your best defender and third best player in the team. Was optimistic with how the team has been playing but we are going no where with bone headed decisions that sabotage ourselves like that.
2:1 seems fair enough. The Rockets didn't play good enough to lead 3:0. Also, why's nobody guarding Galinari?Guy has no legs anymore, can only shoot stand up open 3's,and they just let him do that. I watched a little bit of last year's GS/Clippers series. The Warriors didn't let him do that.
This is a really tough one because House was so, so good in Game 2! But man, he was so, so bad in Game 3. Stick with what got you there. He's got to gain experience, anyway. The Rockets will need Eric Gordon in the playoffs as well so hopefully he will get going. I can't believe how many flubs he had yesterday.
Watch this right here. With 57second left in the 4th quarter,(we were up 5) Chris Paul dribbled past Harden, whom made absolutely no attempt to move either feet or hand, for an easy layup. Then with 28 seconds left in the 4th quarter, Chris paul got the switch on Harden. Paul once again got into the paint. This time Jeff Green rotated to help and Paul dished to an unguarded Adam for an easy layup. Finally with 20 second left, the play that we're all talking about, Paul forced the switch on Harden again. He walked pass Harden again and House having seen the last 2 play result in easy layups, left his man to over commit on Paul.....which obviously ended in an open 3 for the Thunder. All three possessions happened because James was practicing textbook social distancing principle on the basketball court. The thing is if James isn't gonna play defense because he has 5 fouls, maybe he should be subbed out until we're on offense again. He wasnt playing basketball in the last few possessions of regulation; he was playing dodgeball.
Not going to blame this one on House. He's a young player that you have to take the good with the bad, and so far in these three games he has been better than expected. It is up to the coach to put players in a position to succeed. So in the most important possession of the game where you need a game winning stop you put in your best and smartest defenders. You put an inexperienced House in that position and you get the expected outcome. Where the fvck was Covington? This isn't about one game. Not even mad that they lost, was never expecting a sweep. Most likely they still beat okc. But dumbass decisions like this will never get you all the way, and even if the opportunity presents itself you will squander it.
