Its only a HIPAA violation if the provider or physician talks (among many other breaches but lets keep it to this example). If the patient (Harden) told someone, who told someone, who told the internet - well that's on the patient (Harden). I'm not surprised given his recent weight loss.
What's the over/under on when a national source reports on this? Most importantly when does Kellerman report this?
With Harden's young age and high level of physical fitness, getting a virus is not at all cause for concern. He might not even show symptoms - many his age have not. We now understand the virus waaaay better than in February when people in Wuhan were getting drug into quarantine against their will... at that time we thought COVID was a death sentence. Now the data clearly shows that it poses very very low risk to the young and healthy. Best case scenario is that he tests positive for antibodies and we can move forward with confidence that he'll be in the starting lineup every game.
Org is treating it like a state secret, must have something to do with how seriously they take this championship. Get those reporters to the other teams strategy.
You are very entertaining with your knowledge and willingness to just heal the inflicted with your opinion. James Harden is a real person that contracted the same illness that has killed others. The same illness that had stopped / changed the world. But if say he is alright then by all means let’s play some basketball.
I called it as soon as Thabo said someone had it. Let's be honest, his weight loss looked unusual. That first pic didn't look like he had been working out. Maybe it was bad for him, hope he's ok. Could have lingering effects on respiratory system, might affect stamina - which is a shame because this is the first time he'll enter the playoffs with equal rest as other stars.
Look at Sam's link - it references other studies that have the same result. At the very least, this disease is causing some kind of inflammation in the lungs even in the asymptomatic and may impact performance of say, an NBA athlete. Long-term is just an unknown as the disease is so new. But people seem to focus that it only is a danger to old people and may kill off the elderly, but this isn't the flu. It's a serious lung infection that even if you don't develop any symptoms, could affect your health for years to come.
Damn. Judging by his age group, and the fact he's a supreme athlete. He has a 99.9999999999999999999% chance of surviving. Crazy.
Dude, quick! Send this to the NBA. They don't need to do all this bubble stuff! WHY didn't you tell them sooner??? Now go catch the virus.
I may or may not have access of every place that has received a complaint for being open against executive orders...
