And Ken Rosenthal did a terrible job of clearing this up so that everyone understands what was actually said. People really think Correa is just lying about 2018. People also dont understand that Codebreaker itself IS NOT illegal and every team does, or at least should have a codebreaker system.
ie MLB is making sure there are no rats who will contradict their "Red Sox did nothing wrong" findings.
The coverage of Codebreaker has been the most egregious example of media failure during this entire episode. Just a blatant attempt at a "GOTCHA!" moment with no effort at all to offer any context.
That is an excellent article that cuts to the heart of everything with factual evidence. That should be mandatory reading by every single sportswriter and fan that spouts off about the Astros "Cheating."
Probably won't hear much about this either... MLB enforcing rule to stop use of foreign substances on balls https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/1954210
Trevor Bauer was on HBO Real Sports talking about MLB's widespread use of doctored baseballs and said it's worse than steroids. Incredibly, relaying this story on PTI, Tony Kornheiser attempted to make this exclusively about the Astros and their pitchers' suspicious spin rate. Wilbon had to remind him that Bauer claimed 70% of pitchers do it and they couldn't all be on the Astros.
Kornheiser is from New York.... big surprise. I bet he hopes a certain former Astro maintains his spin rate by any means necessary. I also bet he ignored Girardi's comments regarding Yankee "strategies".
I hear the Astros are getting plunked quite a bit in spring training but I'm also hearing it's not as bad as people say.
Haven't paid attention...how many are fastballs vs breaking balls? All I've seen are the latter, which is excusable this early in ST.
Isn't this cute. Especially considering Marwin plays for their major league squad. The one guy who performed farrr above expectation in 17'. LOL.
Hmm... I need one of these to place next to my 2017 WS framed photo and other related items. Gotta lean into this ****.
hmmm I know nothing of laws on this type of stuff but Don’t we own the Astros name? How can they profit from our name? would Round Rock be able to sell shirts that say “Rangers Suck”? Cause they would sell oit or how about a shirt with a picture of Gallo and Mazara playing with each other’s junk after a Hr
