Here's what Baylor has coming up. 21/22 games could be better, but at least they tried to fix our weak ass OOC schedule. 20: Ole Miss (in Houston; Kiffin's first game). 21: BYU 22: @ BYU 23: Utah 24: @ Utah 25: Auburn 26: @ Auburn 27: Oregon 28: @ Oregon A loss out of conference means you have to run the table in most years. I really think the playoff should expand to 8. Max of 8.
Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Baylor, Oregon ... would not have mattered. LSU would have annihilated them too.
Yeah. Naw. We already have two of those games on paper and both were more competitive than this slaughter. Oklahoma just didn't have the chops to be there, and it showed. Oh well. The race to the bottom shall continue unabated. Just gotta avoid that second loss and it's all gravy!
Who deserved to go over them? Baylor certainly didn’t. The PAC was a joke. Alabama is a better team than OU but hard to take a two loss Alabama team. Same with Georgia. What needs to happen is the BIG XII needs to actually be an elite football conference and the same for the PAC. The team that is going to try to use this as leverage is Alabama.
Prior to this year, the other 3 OU semifinals have been far more competitive than the other semi-final. OU is not causing the blowouts. 2018: Alabama over OU 45-34 Clemson over ND 30-3 2017: Georgia over OU 54-48 (double OT) Alabama over Clemson 24-6 2015: Clemson over OU 37-17 Alabama over MichSt 38-0 Both games in 2016 were also blowouts and neither involved OU. OU was also the 4 seed in 3 of their 4 matchups, so you'd expect them to be the least competitive.
The PAC was a joke but in the end so was the Big 12. I was leaning towards Oregon over Oklahoma before the spots were announced. Hard to say that would have been incorrect given just how outmatched the Sooners ended up being.
