I think the last 3 games, they played some Top 10-15 type of Defense. Props for that. In a couple days the Clippers and others await.
...with Harden not even averaging 40ppg+ ..and House Jr. not even averaging 20ppg+ ...yet. We have the highest ceiling among all the NBA teams that will not win a NBA championship this season.
The concern is we have not beaten a good team yet. This week should be telling with the Clippers at home.
Indeed, they’ve only played against 3 .500+ teams and lost to all of them, with one being a gigantic blowout.
Division leaders and only top-8 team undefeated in conference games. And the Rockets are not even in regular season shape yet. Only going to get better from here, ladies and gentleman.
It’s wild how much better I’d feel about this team if they didn’t choke against the Bucks opening night.
Question for the NBA: Why are today's athletes in so much worse shape than they were decades ago? Rest days? ??? Wilt didn't even take a rest MINUTE. As for the thread, appreciate the take, as its way too early to judge this team, and despite that, they're actually sitting pretty good. Ditto for the other comments. Is it fair to observe issues? Absolutely. Does the team need time to address them? Yes, definitely. Can't really see where they are at until the first quarter of the season...and won't really know what they are until the mid point. Given the introduction of Westbrook, which is a significant change...will probably still be making adjustments during the second half as well. Assuming MDA makes adjustments....
We also have an massive outlier that skews the PPG. Throw that out (and the low for good measure), our PPG drops 5 points. League avg is currently 110 PPG and we are trending downward so not alarmed ...yet.
Second easiest schedule so far. Higher usage of Harden than last year. The promised 10-man rotation got flushed down the toilet. Nothing worth boasting so far. Take it easy.
