Hasn’t he been there for 18 years? That’s far more than Piloi and other past Pats braintrust. Belichick is great... he probably taught everything to all the guys working for him.
I’m sure Caserio will tell the truth. He has every incentive to do so. I was just being unrealistically optimistic.
Exactly what incentive does he have to tell the truth? Assuming there was tampering and he wants the job.
If he lies to the NFL about a tampering investigation? Maybe risks a suspension or getting a bad rep for his current or a future job
If anything, his rep is going through the roof now that two teams (including the defending champs) are battling it out for him. There's going to be a lot of pressure on him if he eventually comes to the Texans.
Shouldn't it always be like that?? Complacency and undue loyalty were calling cards of the old guard.....hopefully with Cal, that's changing.
Risk what? BB has always taken his guys back. McDaniels to the Broncos to only return back home shortly after. He has a job in New England if it doesn't work out here.
So he might not sit in the owners suite for a few games? Worse comes to worst, NFL rules we tampered, Caserio gets his new gig but we have to give up picks and/or cash. If he says we tampered, Texans probably jump ship on him and any leverage he had with the Pats goes flying out the door.
