Make sense, would be perfect there, but if he didn't want to go there, i'm not sure how that would change now...i mean, they could've traded for him with two more season on his contract, and now they trade for him expiring? Even though i'm not sure how he opts out of that deal...
Considering that Utah wants a PG, I wonder if they would entertain Derrick Favors/Joe Ingles for Chris Paul? We know that Harden is never going to want to move without the ball so we might as well put some more decent shooters around him while shedding Paul's salary and creating a large trade exception. I've given up on the idea that we will contend the next few years of Hardens stay, so might as well just put better role players around Harden rather than watching Paul get older.
Love to have Rubio here, but, unless he’s willing to take the MLE, there’s not really a way to get him here. Would make an incredible 3-4 guard rotation.
We've been saying it forever but he is truly on the cusp of becoming a real legit rotation player. He hit 32% of 3.7 attempts. He hit 35% of similar attempts the previous season. His FT% has been peaking the past few seasons. He's probably going to finally make that jump if he works on it again this summer. Utah did all the work, and now someone else is going to reap the benefit for a fraction of the cost. For comparison, Rivers hit 32% of his 3's and 51% of his FT's. Rubio hit 31% of 3's and 85% of FT's on almost identical volume. Someone will get value out of him now.
I think he'll end up in a team like Phoenix, Detroit or Charlotte if they lose Kemba (which is what i expect). I like Rubio and i would actually take him to come off the bench, but he wants to start so...
I’d gamble on him......for the right price doe!! Edit: Changed my mind, PASS!! He would never be able to get that Utah stink off... ....... ....... .......
Paul for rubio, favors, korver Jazz would take the offer. Bulls and suns are just teasing you, not real.
Do not want Rubio. He can't shoot. Even if he shoots 30%-35% from three for the year... he can't shoot from two, and you still leave him open all else being equal as a defense. The Rockets did their fair share of that to him in the playoffs and he graciously shot 20% from three for the series.
You guys are nuts if you don’t want Rubio. According to one insider and scouting expert he’s the best PG of his generation
After reading my latest newsletter, I've been salivating uncontrollably at the mere thought of Rubio throwing lobs to Thon Maker.
Be honest—was it the in depth analysis written in Spanish or the centerfold of Rubio in a manbun that REALLY got you hot and bothered?
Put Rubio on the ball in a spread pick and pop offense with a shooting 5 man and good spot up shooters everywhere rider and he'll go nuts. He'll be as efficient and entertaining offensively as Giannis.
Seems like Rubio will be out for the season and it sounds like it is more than just mental issues.....it sounds like it could be some sort of Burnout syndrome and he might be done for good.....
