I moved to Seattle but will forever be a Houston sports fan. I hope we sweep the Mariners... too much bragging going on around here. Hopefully I'll be able to make it out to one of the games this stand.
The Mariners have had their fun. Really hope we can establish dominance in these first 2, because my f**king Sunday is gonna be lit and I don't want an early bad taste to infringe upon it. A crawfish boil, an Astros game, Thrones, a Rockets playoff game and lots of St. Arnold.
Has anyone noticed that the AL West has the best division record (to this point) of any? By a good margin? Not a single team with a losing record?
I’ll be there tonight to watch the start of the inevitable demise of these Seattle Mariners. My coworkers are already talking about securing World Series tix. Delusional Seattle fans...
Seattle will not make the playoffs. They’ll finish 3rd in the division as well. Houston win streak extended.
Impressive start by Seattle. Their only 2 loses were games they blew a late lead. Time to show them that the Astros are still the class of the division.
2-0 vs OAK(9-8) 3-1 vs BOS(4-9) 2-0 vs LAA(7-6) 2-1 vs CWS(3-8) 4-0 vs KC(2-10) 13-2(25-41) Spoiler Started 8-5 last year before Astros came in & took 3 of 4 (9-8) 17-11 to start May 35-22 to start June 46-25 middle of June 54-31 to start July 56-32 was their high watermark (24 games over .500) and went 33-41 the rest of the way.
I think their hitting is more real than pitching. Luckily, we have some pitchers too. Need to blow up their bullpen, and put in our annual (or quarterly) thrashing of Felix on. Will aim to snag some last-minute tickets to Saturday night if they're not bandwagoned out. Based on the standard Seattle behavior, I'll probably just get $35 behind-home-plate seats for the later series in the year
