Surprised they turn down the vet min for the rest of the season. Does golden state have MLE money left?
Honestly no sign the Rockets are low-balling this guy. Given the constraints of the payroll situation (which his agent is well aware of), the Rockets have offered probably the most reasonable terms. He's been mis-serviced by his agent, whose incentives are apparently misaligned with House.
This is not putting on for the city. Cant say I blame him but Gerald needs to slap some sense into this fool.
His choice, moving on to the next G-leaguer Harden will be carrying. Have fun in the G-league hotels and team buses.
The initial offer is shocking to say the least. A 3 yr minimum guaranteed contract isn't all that great as well. Perhaps meeting somewhere in the middle might have worked. Let's say a 2 yr 5 M contract for example.
25 year old G-League journeyman, who has bounced in and out of the association, just turned down a guaranteed NBA contract worth 3+ million dollars?!? IMO, should have signed it and perfect his game/role for his 2nd NBA contract at 28 years old instead of assuming risk of getting "lost" in the minors. Out of sight out of mind is a real thing and I think he just made a massive mistake.
He should of at least accepted the minimum for the rest of this year and then become a restricted FA. He can't leave the team this year anyhow, so he's just costing himself playing time and money for nothing.
They’d have to eat into the Mid-Level. Rockets seem to have other plans for that. Pretty sure it’s the same deal Clark got. I mean, it’s cool House believes in himself. Why wouldn’t he since he’s played so well. DH may ultimately get what he wants elsewhere, but there is no guarantee. Still, this is guaranteed money and he’s been cut a handful of times previously. With his tweet, doesn’t look like he will blink.
What if God sent you to the Beard's team, then issued a swarm of injuries to teammates, and then crossed His arms to watch what you would do with His gracious bounty?
Hopefully this isn't something similiar to how Nerlens Noel's situation turned out for Dallas. Hopefully we get something solid down for a reasonable contract for both parties, if not good luck to you on your next team House!
