The LA Clippers are building a team of tradable role players. A lot of teams will be looking at them at the NBA Trade Deadline in February. Clippers signing guys just to flip for picks.
Wow... $6 million per season. That's rather cheap. I thought he would get at least $10 million on the open market after a breakout season. I wouldn't mind getting him back when the Clippers eventually fail and blow up everything at the trade deadline.
I can't wait to see Dekker's market when he is a FA. Has he improved in any facet since he got into the NBA? (Other than marrying Olivia Harlan).
Harrell would’ve been a great add as the backup C for us. Athletic and long enough for defense, can catch the lob and run the floor for dunks. I would’ve loved him for us on that contract.
I didnt think Tarik Black was gonna be better than Harrell, and I don't think Black is that bad. Harrell is just a serviceable "big" like in a Carl Landry mold. Highly efficient on offense, not much rebounding, with just enough D (Black a little more rebounding & D)
I mean, that's a valid question. What does he do? 3pt shooter? no rebounder? no good defender? no good passer? no can he create his own shot? no I am not sure what Morey saw in Dekker. He can get out and run in transition and finish but that is it. I think one time Morey said the internal people thought he could develop into a Harrison Barnes type of player. Which is LOL to me because Barnes can post up and create his own shot. Something Dekker has no ability to and I never saw it in him to do it.
Carl Landry could create his own shot. That is why he got a relatively big contract when he became a free agent. His limitation was that he was undersized and had a short reach(8'6"). Harrell is way more athletic, has a 7 inch reach advantage(9'1") than Landry but he doesn't nearly have the skill. The Harrell had Landry's skill he would be a 12-15 million dollar a year player.
