I don't think we have played a game this year where we didn't have the pregame pitching edge, or at worst a push. Aside from maybe Paxton up in Seattle, and possibly that creature the Angels imported, the 5 best pitchers in the entire division are probably Astros.
Carlos Correa Avg Launch Angle 2018 17.3 ° 2017 9.2 ° 2016 7.0 ° 2015 8.3 ° Optimal launch angle is about 20%. Lots of singles and doubles at that angle. Closer to 30% leads to more homers, but more fly ball outs as well. Too much over 30% leads to a lot of fly ball outs and pop ups. If Correa has anything close to the 17.3 ° launch angle the rest of the season, he's going to have a monster year (40+ homers).
When I first read this I thought, "calm down." Then I thought about it for about 5 seconds and was like, "dang, that is entirely true!" We are stacked.
As much as I hate day games they might want to consider them if they are going to schedule games at the north pole this early in the season.
I'm going with it he caught a cold since it was drafty in the stadium since they don't have a retractable roof. Cheap bastards.
