Please tell me this isn't a serious question. PLEASE tell me you know one is human and one isn't. PLEASE.
1st half made me regret watching it, second half really redeemed itself. I don't know what they are gonna do with Leia now though....
1) Empire Strikes Back 2) A New Hope 3) Return of the Jedi 4) Rogue One 5) Phantom Menace 6) Revenge of the Sith 7) Clone Wars 8) The Force Awakens *The Last Jedi unrated because IT IS NOT A STAR WARS FILM
Post this in a thread about one of those movies then. Here's a link: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...s-episode-i-the-pantom-menace-3d-2012.215002/
Spoiler Fulfillment of Lupita Nyong'o's contract saying she would be in each of the sequel trilogy films.
I enjoyed it, but it was only good, not great. I’d rank this one behind TFA and R1. My jumble of knee-jerk thoughts 1 hour later: Spoiler The good: 1) The cruiser kamikaze was awesome cinematography. The space battles in general were extremely cool. 2) Even if it was a short sequence, the Milleniumn Falcon in the Crait mine using a reprise of the Falcon/TIE fight music from ANH got me pumped. 3) I actually liked Luke’s character. You guys b**** and moan about his snark, but you’re seeing this dude 30 freaking years later. I’m going to assume he probably spent a lot of time after ROTJ with Han (like in the EU books) and picked up some of his humor along the way. 4) I rather liked Leia. Easily one of the best things in the movie. 5) I loved the bomber scene with Rose’s sister in the beginning. Very humanizing look at how one seemingly “nobody” can turn the tide of war. Reminded me of Rogue One, and I wished there were more scenes like that in the movie. 6) I thought the acting was fairly good in general. 7) R2D2 guilt tripping Luke with the “Help me Obi-Wan” message guilt trip gave me the chills. Nice use of nostalgia. The bad: 1) Just an overly long movie. By the time they got to Crait, I was like, “Oh God, there’s more?” 2) The whole Finn/Rose/DJ side mission was completely pointless. It didn’t advance the plot one iota. WTF? Would have been useful if they at least met up with Rey in Snoke’s ship and helped her escape. 3) Hated how Skywalker went out. I’m hoping the “purpose” of his exit is to advance the plot in Episode 9 in a major way. 4) Was fine with Yoda appearing, but his look was distracting. 5) The last scene with the kid was completely unnecessary. A minor quibble. 6) The First Order couldn’t detect/see a bunch of ships leaving the cruiser? Huh? 7) What was the point of the cool Crait fighters (who all got destroyed)? So you could see Poe “grow”? Um, okay. About as useless as the terrible (but good looking) pod race from TPM. 8) Leia! In! Space!!!! Was a bit bizarre. Really wished they explained that one better. 9) Would it have killed Rian to devote even 2 minutes of back story to Snoke? 10) I liked the idea of Poe trolling Hux at the beginning, but it just wasn’t executed well.
Spoiler I don't mind her parents aren't famous I just wish they hadn't made such a big deal of it if that was going to be the case.
Spoiler There was some reasoning to this scene (which I wasn't aware of, my friend said "did you see that" as we were walking out... I hadn't - then he confirmed it after when googling... supposedly) But the kid used the force to grab the broom when he walks out side, he doesn't actually physically pick it up. Some foreshadowing of the future generation of Jedi recruits perhaps.
I thought that was the case! But it was subtle and my wife didn't notice so I was thinking I probably just didn't see it right. HOORAY for me being right.
Rey’s parents? Spoiler I would not be surprised if Rey is related to a Jedi. Possibly Spoiler Obi Wan ? I would say Rey did not need as much training as Luke. That might suggest that her force is very strong.
Since we're listing our rankings A New Hope Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi Rogue 1 Force Awakens Last Jedi Prequel Garbage, ranking doesn't matter
tom cruise would have done his own lightsaber stunt, with flips and all that. we need tom cruise in the star wars universe.
I wouldn't trust Kylo Ren. We have no affirmation from anything or anyone else in Last Jedi other than an unreliable source. I bet Rey's parentage will be revealed in 9. Her hearing Obi-Wan scream "Rey!" during her dream sequence in TFA is too much of a coincidence.
