Sure - that doesn't change what I stated. An Altuve with an MVP award likely gets a bigger contract than an equally-good Altuve without one.
He's going to break the bank... deservedly so. The Astros have him on one of the all-time steals of a contract right now. All-time.
Getting the mvp would do wonders for Tuve's chances to make it into the Hall. So there is a lot at stake here. And the thing is, the media knows this. New York knows it. That's why I'll be hot if they give it to Aaron Judge, which only benefits new York getting another average player more accolades to boast the Yankee's myth.
Yep, getting the MVP helped Biggio make it. Oh wait.... Also, if you consider the season Aaron Judge had as "average", please make more Astros players "average" And @Hey Now! did more for Bagwell's HOF than his 1994 MVP.
If biggio would have had an mvp, he wouldnt have had the time he had to get in. You could argue that if it were not for bill James he might not have made it at all. Being in houston, you always have a tougher time to get in than you otherwise would. Billy wagner isnt even considered a contender to ger in but hoffman and reveria are first and second ballot guys.
From SoSH, after Game 1: "Somewhere in Houston, there is a grown man in a hospital bed joyous that a little kid fulfilled his promise to hit him 3 homers in a game."
And Correa went until game 5 without even swinging and missing just to put it into perspective, but now, ultimate showdown between Altuve and Judge so the voters will either have egg and avocado on their face, or they will be sleeping in it with two supermodels licking it off while Pony by Ginuwine sets the mood.
