We're having an argument over subjective, ephemeral things. I don't really care about any of this, whatever helps people have fun during 81 home games.

I don't have an issue with the wave per se, but I do have an issue when it's being done during critical points in the game, or when the Astros are pitching. Unfortunately, I've been to games where this has occurred and it's very smh.
Neither here nor there: ask Hangout Boy about mercilessly heckling this guy in RF: The Astros dugout approved.
*Loads "Thunderstruck" before first pitch* In-game experiences are always going to upset someone, which is why they go for the least offensive option. But the "Woo" and Wave are fan created things, not blasted across the scoreboard at pre determined times. I don't care so long as fans are having fun.
It's not just a Houston thing: http://www.cincinnati.com/story/spo...10/doc-woooo-what-am-embarrassment/101521202/ Tuesday night, it reached a new low. On FS1, against the visiting New York Yankees, two first-place clubs, each playing good and exciting baseball and all we could hear half the time was half-wits wooing. Where do these people come from? Work release? It was bad enough that only 22,000 folks could make it Tuesday night and by the sound of it, half were Yankees fans. The other half, presumably Reds fans, spent the latter innings sounding like a cross between a coyote and a guy slamming his thumb with a hammer. Tuesday’s woooos were especially bad, detouring from the annoying everyday woooos to a feral howl. We look ridiculous, Baseball Town.... The pleasure of the many should not be sacrificed to the dumbfoolery of the few. Call him old and out of touch all you want, he's not wrong.
Oh, I definitely expect the fans to combine the 2...every time they stand up for the wave, they woo. A perfect storm of dumb****ery.
