What's the best baby formula out there? Specifically, for a 1 month old. Weird place to ask, I know. But just figured I'd give it a shot. Please note that this thread is about baby formula, and not about the merits of baby formula vs breast milk.
Oh that brings back memories. My wife can't breastfeed because she is anemic so we had to use formula. May you never have to experience the hell that is colic.
Doubt we have that many experts on the merits of various formulas. We used whatever WIC gave us for our Colic child (I want to say it was Nutramigen), and then we'd give him Target's generic of the same thing when we ran out. What he was given changed a lot early on and then might have changed again as he got older and the program changed. Gave the 2nd one Target Generic of what I think was Similac Advance. It's been several year now, so hard to remember completely. #3 I have my wife finally willing to try breast feeding.
http://www.naturesone.com/babys-only-organic-whey-dairy-formula.html Early research seems to suggest this is the good s***. Predictably, it's very hard to find. Has the best whey/casein ratio which will hopefully prevent constipation. ::EDIT:: Nvm that is for a baby at least 1 year old.
HIPP formula is what all of the pediatricians and mom's here rave about. If you can't breast feed this is the next best thing. http://hippformulausa.com/ Best of luck
2nded. Colic is a hell that I don't wish on even Karl Malone... Well, maybe not him. He deserves it. You might have to go through a few different ones before finding a formula that your baby takes without issues. That's what we had to do. Once we settled on one, you stick with it because changing causes a whole set of other problems.
This is what we used when our little one was on formula. Pediatrician recommended it, and she tolerated it with no issues.
Does anyone else get highly offended watching mothers publicly breast feed their child in places like malls, churches, public parks, Astros games and bowling alleys? This disgusts me. Because of this, I have secretly recorded hundreds of hours (over the years) worth of these acts of public indecency and will be submitting it to the proper authorities in due time.
Our baby just turned 1. We've been giving him Enfamil and haven't had any problems. Honestly, I think pretty much all brands are the same, and I have heard good things about the Kirkland brands. If you want to go with Enfamil, here is the best deal I've found: 35% off right now, and 5% or 15% if you use Subscribe & Save I would highly recommend this as well Congrats on the little one.
