There is literally no reason to complain about the playcalling. Was it a bad call on the 4th down? Absolutely. But it's preseason... against a team you're gonna face in week 3 of the regular season. If he calls crappy plays like that in the regular season then there's reason to be upset. This would be like people complaining about Hinch pulling Keuchel too early in a spring training start (of course, given how many people dislike Hinch and think they could manage the team better than him, it wouldn't surprise me if people would complain about that too).
Had to watch the game late and didn't read through all our your comments yet. But for me it was a couple things: Foreman was a STEAL. He's fast and just pushes people off of him to keep going, gonna be an amazing back I think. Not to make excuses for Watson, but there were quite a few dropped passes. And 3 bad throws of the 10. Savage definitely had the better game. Which doesn't make this competition any easier. Cunningham may be quick to the sidelines but dang he got juked out of his shoes at least twice by the RB before the ball was thrown...
Sorry if already posted... About the 4th down call...mad radio revealed this morning that two years ago obrien did this in a game with mallet in the preseason and hard knocks cameras caught him getting into it with mallet because he was supposed to realize it was bad call based on coverage and situation and change at the line. So, very possible this was meant to test savage
It's jarring to see Cunningham on the field. He is the smallest linebacker I've ever seen in the pros. Could easily confuse him with a safety. He got shook for sure in this game, but it's to be expected. He needs to see stuff like that to get better.
He is listed at 212lbs on his wiki page, Earl Thomas is listed at 202. I noticed this in the first game and Im pretty sure this is why he fell so far in the draft. Hopefully we can add to his frame and use him more than a 3rd down back on dime and nickel packages.
Foreman looks like a stud in the game 2 again. All other players were just fine, nothing was special except that run from Foreman.
Savage looked better vs Game 1, and Watson looked worse. Disappointed in Deshawn's accuracy both games.
