Astros like still win even if SEA sweeps them again.. but I do want as many wins as possible without affecting playoff rest.
I was wondering why he held up McCann at third, but it turned out to be the best choice. Furthermore, I love Kemp.
James is an example of why I say commercial prospect lists are very often outdated and inaccurate. James throws 100 mph with 3 above average pitches and 15K per 9 innings in the minors... yet wasn’t a top 100 prospect supposedly. Oddly the Astros never tried to move James... it’s like they knew he was good... same with White. Weird how that works.
Did you mean LeBlanc? LeBlanc was the one Marwin tore up in Safeco in August. Does he own Leake as well?
Gerrit Cole owns Leake, the two apparently have a history of dueling against each other since their NL Central days, with Cole usually doing better. Disappointing to see Cole's start moved back, would have been cool to see one more Cole vs Leake matchup this year. As I said yesterday, funny how soon after Leake was traded to the AL West, Cole followed him into the division.
He’s been very, very impressive. Kind of looks like Severino to me with the stuff. I think his only runs allowed have come off the long ball. Long term, if he can keep those down, he’s a front line starter. Curious if he makes the playoff roster.
Yep, some prospects get past though they do still get about 2/3s of the good players. Overall, I think prospect lists underrate high minor production as the writers are more tools oriented. James appears to be a late bloomer which they also have trouble.
