The biggest complaint against Warren isn't that somebody won't vote for her, its that somebody else won't vote for her. I think picking a candidate to 'not lose' is the best way to lose.

When there are only two candidates her platform for getting her actual policies out there will work fine in the swing states even to people who don't investigate deeply. There is enough attention paid that someone who can communicate as effectively as Warren will be able to get her points made.

50 years of Cold War/ Corporate propaganda has caused a knee-jerk reaction to anything labeled 'Socialism' even though her stories of Civil Rights, Social Security, 40 hour work weeks, minimum wage, Medicare and the ACA distinctly illustrate their popularity.

The fact that Trump was elected at all, convinces me voters are most influenced by Christian American Conservative sound bytes over real consideration of their own best interest.

The corporate class would love that. He has a problems with African Americans after firing the black police chief to please white police officers and his biggest donors. He might want to consider switching parties as the elite will be trying to rebrand the GOP by 2024.

    What a load of sh*t.
So every candidate to the right of Bernie should run as a republican?
You Bernie bros are really turning out to be a toxic bunch. He's an awesome candidate, the worst thing about him is his fans.

I have to say Kudos to Bernie. I think he really deserves credit for not succumbing to his followers and leaving the party to be another Ralph Nader. Bernie’s followers are well intended but naive about how Democracy works. There’s no compromise and a tendency to want to burn down the house instead of fixing from within.

The fact that Elizabeth Warren of all people might be the nominee SHOULD be perceived as a monumental achievement for the direction that the progressives want to take the country. She’s very close to Bernie but has the ability to pull in a much broader coalition that Bernie cannot.

Yea the Bernie Bros are too close to Trump supporters in their uncompromising, scorched earth ways.

True to an extent, but I don't think that Democrats need to make Hillary's mistake and say something that would be seen as unfairly labeling all Bernie supporters. In the last election, more than 90% of Bernie supporters voted for Hillary.

There are definitely some that adopt and publicize the scorched earth policy you reference. I just don't think it is wise to turn off the vast majority of Bernie supporters who would be fine supporting the nominee if Bernie loses. I'm not worried about them defecting to Trump. I'm just worried about them deciding not to vote at all because they feel like the Democrats hate them and don't value them.

Amazing that Bernie's message and campaign has been utterly ruined by his scorched Earth cult of hardcore supporters.

I’m tired of placating a bunch of whiney weiners on both extremes of aisle.

I want the moderates to take back this country from the extremes on both sides. I’ll vote for Warren but only because I know congress will prevent her from her more progressive tendancies.

Can’t tell if this is sarcasm but Sanders polling would indicate that he is no longer “it” among the wider swath of Dems/progressives.

Some people just really believe in the policies. Moderation means giving up on policies they perceive to genuinely work and the compromise is often meant as a compromise so major corporations still can maximize profits rather than a compromise that benefits the average American.

Hence why the cynicism with "moderate" amongst Warren and Bernie fans. Just trying to give their perspective.

And how’s that been working out for progressives? Do you/they find that this strategy has been successful?

Unfortunately “traditions” wins out more often than not.

The same thing with Trump supporters... why adapt when you can just complain?

Trust me, I get it and I’m sick of it. Bernie Bros just have themselves as allies and that’s not enough for change.

I could vote for Warren as well, but I have serious reservations about some of the proposed plans. She could introduce a public option to appease people like me who has employer-based health insurance. Like I said, have all these health care options on the table and let the free market decide the winners and losers.

I get that she wants substantial change, but why be so extreme to the point that something might scare some voters. As 2000 Florida showed, every vote counts.

I’m hoping this is part of the DNC primaries and she’ll pull back a little towards the middle. I’m not a fan of “nationalizing” things.
