The more I watch Lebron James and Harden the more it’s becoming obvious Harden is either there with him or is about to pass him ,. Same with KD
The team must have huddled up after the finals and agreed not to play any defense this season to make it more interesting.
Everyone who thought Cavaliers were done were so wrong. They are proving that regular season and seeding truly don't matter.
Pretty much all the guy he got have sucked. Dwade and Rose did pretty well. Obviously he had to get rid of them for the toxicity, but I think Lebron could have made it work once they got to the playoffs.
If Cavaliers get by a depleted Celtics but lose the Finals while putting up a good fight, this will still be a very successful season. If Cavaliers get by a depleted Celtics and lost in Finals similar to last year, then it will still be a moderately successful season. But if Cavaliers lost to a depleted Celtics, it will have been a failure.
Obviously Cavalier fans will be disappointed in being swept. But considering that most people, myself included, thought they probably don't even come out of the East once Irving left, it has to be considered a successful season, an overachieving season IMO. No one thought they had a chance against either Rockets or Warriors. But everyone also thought they would get beat by Pacers, Raptors or Celtics. They beat them all. They overachieved and had a great season.
According to The Athletic's Joe Vardon, Kyle Korver and Cavaliers GM Koby Altman had agreement upon his re-signing that the team would either buy him out or trade him if LeBron James signed elsewhere. As we all know, LeBron did indeed sign elsewhere. When LeBron made his decision, Korver asked Altman for a resolution so he could move his family over the summer, but the team refused because they wanted to play him and compete. The report also says that the same basic message was communicated to the rest of the team's veterans, too. With recent reports of the team shopping Korver and the Cavs off to a 1-8 start, a resolution may soon be upon us. According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, the general feeling within the Cavaliers organization is that Collin Sexton doesn't know "how to play." The organization feels that he doesn't know how to set his teammates on offense or defend pick and rolls on defense. There's a lot of discord going on within the Cavaliers' organization right now and the team's first round pick isn't immune to any of it. Still, he's their eighth overall selection and has the support of owner Dan Gilbert, meaning he'll be given every chance to succeed. Sexton will be inconsistent, but is worth owning in most leagues.
