no dude they aren’t more talented but that’s not the point. The point was a comment made by a fan about the team being a better team because of the trade which has proven to be false. If a roster is missing players that filled positions and roles due to the trade, then the team is in now way overall better than the team prior to the trade. We traded a starting 3 that could shoot, drive and play great defense not to mention leadership and an infectious edge. We also traded a starter 2 that despite being inconsistent could drive and shoot from 3. Instead we have started players that have been career bench guys and not as good as Brooks and a SG/combo guard that can’t shoot more than 10 ft. The trade created a major imbalance on this roster. If they wanted to trade those 2 guys then at least get back a SG or combo guard that can start.
Again not the same personnel. GS dont run their offense thru a big that can’t shoot 3s. Their offense is based on off ball screens (split action) and flares to get shooters open. And their bigs can all shoot 3s. And this is why I keep saying Sengun is the issue. You all bi+ch so much about the way we play but this is due to our personnel. We run the offense thru through Sengun and Durant. And if Sengun was a stretch 5 our offense would look very different. If there were no Sengun our offense would look very different and if Amen could shoot our offense would look very different
KD should watch some tape of James passing through double and triple teams. Either way , this thread is exhausting. Who is the answer? If KD doesn't give you a solid chance to win every night, even at his age, I'd like to know who the answer is. Ridiculous. Props to Jabari for continuing to grow and to Ime for letting Tari be the inconsistent "spark" off the bench. This was a solid , much needed win. Let's hope the momentum carries to the end of the season . Lord know I don't want to be the only Rockets fan sitting courtside in Ball Arena with the insufferable Nuggets fans . #freeNic #freeJosh
This tedious and long winding road of regular season is nothing to KD...... If he KD stays consistent during the Playoffs and closes out games as he should, then yeah, he deserves to stay another year. Sure why not, he was brought in to close out in the Playoffs.......for that sole reason.
Well, seems this thread aged well, when Reed is on the ball and KD is off it, we are better. TOLD YOU SO ! DD
How are the Suns doing now? Vibes Vibes Vibes Vibes 5 game lose streak Vibes Vibes Vibes Vibes Jalen Green 39% FG, 29% 3 pt Vibes Vibes Vibes Vibes Everybody who still thinks the VIBES is worth a damn **** needs to be rookied. Just go to any Suns site or board they are losing their ****.
Nah you said KD is the problem since then KD has put up 26 on near 50/40/90. The DD curse strikes again dont start hyping up Reed for the love of god.
What does the Suns record have to do with the Rockets? The topic was about an imbalanced trade that caused holes on this roster which is a fact. If you want to argue that then talk about the Rockets roster not the Suns roster. Besides if you want to go there, they have already won 3 more games than last year and Brooks has been out for several weeks. These are 2 different teams with different rosters and each added players which have been used in different combinations which creates a different synergy and chemistry independent of one another. You talking about the 2 guys traded now on the Suns had absolutely nothing to do with the Rockets and our deficiencies.
You said it was an unbalanced trade that caused holes in the roster but then the 2 players traded have nothing to do with the Rockets? If the 2 players traded have nothing to do with the Rockets why are you even complaining they were traded in the first place? We traded a guard and a forward for a forward. What unbalanced trade caused holes in the roster are you even talking about? We have a new guard his name is Reed Sheppard so we are even from last year. Again what unbalanced roster are you even talking about? What holes? The only holes we have are due to injury, injury to FVV who was supposed to be the lead pg and then Adams who is supposed to be the 6th man. If we kept DBrooks and Jalen Green shooting 39% FG and 29% 3 pt this roster would suck ass "balanced" or not. Even Dillon Brooks when he was healthy was among the most inefficient 20 ppg scorers in the league.
Houshmandzadeh saying the Rockets org itself is making excuses by putting everything on Durant to be the fall guy for everything. That everybody knew exactly the flaws Durant has the past 17 years, and trying to make him different is the Rockets fault. I can agree. Making Durant into playing his own game AND be FVV, while being a great leader, is a big unreasonable really
I reread your first post. You are right in that Ime is a r****d and is too reliant on Durant. The problem is UJOKER doesn't know how to utilise his players or run an offence. The problem isn't Durant, it's Ime. *** ime
I said nothing about keeping anyone. I said the trade created an imbalanced roster. You mentioning the 2 former Rockets and the Suns record has nothing to do with my comment, which is about the Rockets roster. I didn’t ask you or talked about comparing team records or player performance post trade. So all of what you wrote about this in terms of stats and performance is pointless and not the topic of discussion. Durant had played the 2 guard role for most of the season. We have no 2 guard that can dribble drive and get to the paint consistently or shoot 3. Durant had to fill that role but hr doesn’t play like a guard. We also no longer have a starting level 3 that can score at 3 levels who brought intangibles and leadership to this team. These 2 positions have been replaced by bench players who aren’t good enough to start (Eason, Okogie). And because we have no 2 guard that is a threat from 3 and can drive, our offense is further compressed with KD playing a slower iso or post game. This was the compromise when we traded those 2 players.
Are you high? The two players that we traded are the ones on the Suns now sucking ass. Do you get that? What guard who can dribble drive and shoot 3s? You mean Jalen Green who is shooting 29%? Thats literally the guy we traded. Whats KD shooting? 40%? So trading 29% for 40% is a compromise? What 3 level scorer? You mean Dillon Brooks scoring 54% TS? KD is scoring at 63% TS. So trading 54% for 63% is a compromise? You make zero sense. You cant say the trade made us unbalanced and created a compromise and then say dont judge the players post trade? How does that even work in your head?
You need to calm down and stop over reacting as usual. Why do you keep mentioning those players and what they have accomplished? They’re not on the team anymore. Stick to the topic. Did you not read what I wrote or are you just in an emotional rant again? I repeat, the topic has nothing to do with Suns players. It is about an imbalanced roster created by the trade. Stop comparing stats. And besides your statement about Brooks is inaccurate and not true. Brooks is having a career year before being injured. Brooks is a 3 level scorer whether you agree or not. He can drive, shoot mid range, and 3. Green can consistently get to the paint and shoot 3. This has been proven in both these players’ careers. Again you bringing up current stats or metrics for another team has nothing at all to do with the Rockets or the topic which has nothing to do with comparing stats. TOPIC (repeated for the 3rd time) THE DURANT TRADE CREATED AN IMBALANCED ROSTER FOR THE ROCKETS Do you understand this or don’t you understand in your little head?
