Those were DEFINITELY fabricated stuff by xcomputerman.

Yao Ming weighed 11lb..... a record of that hospital that day, and a record for all the off-springs for the Chinese national team-members, but not 40lb.

For those who can read Chinese, please refer to Chapter 4 of the book on Yao Ming by his buddy, Yang Yi.

    http://sports.sohu.com/2004/03/01/90/news219249052.shtml

And Yao Ming was not interested in basketball when he was a kid, and actually was not considered materials for basketball until when he was 14 years old. So this talk about him mastering a hook shot at 7 years old is again fabricated.

    40 pounds?

i could make a joke about his mother's vagina having to be as wide as the grand canyon, but that might be crude.

    maybe he was a c-section?

China is about half-a-day ahead of US -- Beijing Time is 12 hours earlier than EDT, or 13 hours earlier than EST, to be precise.
