I know there are some wrestling fans here and I was wondering what everyone thought about Wrestlemania this weekend. I went last year and was psyched about several matches especially the Rock vs Stone Cold, HHH vs Undertaker, Shane vs Vince, TLC II, Benoit vs Angle, even Test vs Eddie Guerrero. I look at the card for this year and just dont have the same excitemet. Rock vs Hogan I would like to see but it isnt like Hogan is in his prime and even when he was he wasnt that great of a wrestler. HHH vs Jericho I think is a joke. Jericho sucks. Stone Cold vs Hall isnt that thrilling. I guess I am still pissed that the turned him face again. I really like Stone Cold as a heal. Angle vs Kane doesnt do much for me. Van Dam vs Regal isnt my cup of tea. I think Regal is stale and the brass knucks thing is old. I would like to see the Womens Championship and the 4 corners Tag Team Championship. Is it just me or is this Wrestlemania just missing that something that other Wrestlemanias had?
I'm not a big fan, but I keep my eye on it. I've even gone to a Smackdown this year. When wrestling was in it's hey-day Hulk Hogan was the bomb. I'm rooting for him to kick Rock's ass. I used to pretend I was Fuji, but somebody did a figure four on me and I retired from wrestling in the backyards. The Figure 4 will kill you. Don't ever let someone do that to you. I don't remember a lot, but I recollect Andre the giant taking on like 8 midgits once. That was funny. It's not what it used to be, but I think grand pa Hogan will add some magic this year. There are atill a lot of fans out there. That is why Jesse Ventura gets so many votes.
Smackdown! is going to be taped in houston in April 16. I don't know when tickets go on sale. I went to WMX7. I was over by Target on 290 near hollister, and i saw a gallery furnitue van and it had the WM advertisement on it still. Yeah, WMx8 looks stupid. It's not exciting or something. The card does suck. I will now be Jim Ross and call the Hogan/Rock match. Punch, Punch, Kick, Eye gouge, Rake the back, Punch, Irish Whip to the corner. Kick, Kick. Body Slam. Kick them on the ground. Punch. and then either a big foot, leg drop, or crap like that.
I'm psyched for it. For a long time fan like myself, seeing Hogan and Rock in the ring by itself pretty much sets it apart. Like the last Raw: the handicap match was fun to watch, and it was clear the audience understood how unique it was to see them in the ring. I'm hoping it will be the same for WM. As far as the others: I'm liking Triple H more and more, it'll be fun to see him beat Jericho. Austin's okay, I'm getting a little tired of the 'drunk rampaging redneck' act though. Seeing what happens with Flair should be interesting too. Overall the group I usually see the PPV's with is looking forward to it.
Undertaker has never ever lost a match at Wrestlemania. He like a perfect 9-0 or something. If he has any creative control I doubt he will be happy with putting a blemish on his record.
Smackdown Tixs for April 16 will go on sale next saturday 03/23 at 9am i believe. Im trying to get ringside seats for it for $45 (face value) not bad for upclose look of Stacy!!!! Yea WMX8 doesnt look as good as it was last year. I am looking forward to the 3 main events, thats it. I wish Nash was wrestling, but isnt.
